XO (Hug + Kiss) Bike Light aims to improve cyclist safety through enhanced lighting. Day and Night, depth perception, quickly discern distance and speed of cyclist.
As DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) are a legal requirement for vehicles in Canada, many drivers are condition to quickly scan and identify vehicles by light. As a result, smaller and slower cyclists can be easily overlooked. The XO light aims to encourage bike light use in the day in addition to night, to increase cyclist visibility and in turn safety.
The XO Light has a diffused LED design which spreads the light across a larger surface area. This provides an advantage over single point source lighting systems as it allows other users to more quickly judge the distance and speed a cyclist is moving at. From afar, each light appears as a spot, but as a cyclist approaches the definition of the lights shape provided a reference point of distance.
